Rhino Conservation

A visit to Ol Pejeta will give you an up close opportunity to see conservation in action.

Take the chance to see the last two remaining Northern White Rhinos on the planet, kept under 24 hour armed guard at the Ol Pejeta conservancy.

Pay your respects to the rhinos who couldn’t be saved from poachers and the grave of Sudan – the last male Northern White. Your visit will help pay for the continued protection of Sudan’s family.

Afterwards, take some time to meet Baraka, the blind black rhino. Baraka lost one eye to a cataract, the other in a fight.

You can feed him from an elevated viewing and feeding platform that is wheelchair accessible

You can also visit the rescued chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary set up with an agreement between the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the Kenya Wildlife Service and between the Jane Goodall Institute.

Centre of the Earth

Nearby you’ll be able to stand at the centre of the earth with one foot in the northern hemisphere and the other in the south at zero degrees latitude.

A purpose built watering hole will allow you a close up view as dazzles of zebra converge to drink and play.

Only for small herds of impala to replace them and joust for supremacy as warthog search for food beneath their feet

This laidback sanctuary may just surprise you with a late night visit from a grazing elephant or a roaring lion.

Don’t be scared. You are safe behind the discrete surrounding electric fence, that does not impede your view of the magnificent highland landscape or the iconic Mount Kenya.
